Infinity Institute
For the 3rd year in a row, Dr. Michael Conti School has been named the TOP 2 BEST ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS IN JERSEY CITY by 2026 US NEWS & WORLD REPORT! We also rank in the ~ top 11% of schools in the the ENTIRE STATE OF NEW JERSEY, i.e the top 296 schools out of a total of ~ 2400 elementary schools (including public, private, & charter schools) in the state! Our middle school ranks in the top 13% of all middle schools in the entire state as well – 188 out of a total of ~1500 middle schools in NJ.
Experiential learning: PS5 middle school students got the opportunity to visit the Center for Jewish History in New York City, site of the world premiere of Anne Frank The Exhibition. For the first time ever, the Anne Frank House in Amsterdam brings an immersive exhibit to the United States that is a full-scale recreation of the secret annex where Anne and her family went into hiding to evade Nazi capture during World War II.
The Conti STRONG GIRLS CLUB aligns with our belief that social-emotional skills are foundational to life success. Started at PS5 three years ago, the club has become one of our most popular after school offerings, where members learn ways to resist societal & peer pressures, role-play best approaches to conflicts, explore what it means to be a good friend, be empowered, & gain the confidence to pursue their dreams!
Did you know that in 2025 PS5 won another grant from Sustainable Jersey for Schools, making our school a DOUBLE SUSTAINABLE JERSEY GRANT recipient within the past 3 years? Our school is also Sustainable Jersey certified, meaning we are recognized as "leaders that are making important contributions toward the long-term goal of a sustainable world."
